What is Fresco?

The art of Fresco design, has been around for thousands of years. Fresco was made popular during the Italian Renaissance, with probably the most noteworthy being, the Sistine Chapel, by Michelangelo. Italy is teeming with breathtaking frescos; with artists such as, Donatello, Mantegna, Bellini, and Pisanello -some of the greatest of all Giotto.

With such a fast paced and commercialized society, we are often left over stimulated and exhausted. It is a wonder then, with all the mass-produced and look-a-like art and decor, that the tedious techniques of Fresco have survived at all.

Fresco is much more than a painting technique. There is a diligence, skill and patience required, that takes years to master.
